  • Honestly, the 4K on the Hisense 65A6HX isn't as impressive as I expected. The resolution is there, but the picture feels flat compared to other 4K TVs I’ve had, like my old TCL 4-Series. The colors don’t pop as much, and it lacks the depth that makes 4K look amazing on better models. If you're expecting something like the Samsung Q60 with rich, vibrant 4K, this isn't it.

I've seen good reviews on Target. I don't have one, but it seems good to me. 4K is always a win.

Hisense 65" Class 4K UHD Xumo Smart TV - 65A6HX: Should You Buy It?

Highlights and Advantages

  • Stunning 4K UHD resolution for crisp, detailed images.
  • Built-in Xumo Smart TV platform for easy access to streaming apps.
  • Vibrant color and contrast for an immersive viewing experience.

Similares

  • TCL 65" Class 4-Series 4K UHD Smart Roku TV: Often boasts a slightly brighter screen than the Hisense.
  • Samsung 65" Class Q60 Series 4K UHD Smart TV: Typically offers superior HDR performance and a more refined smart TV interface.
  • LG 65" Class UP80 Series 4K UHD Smart TV: May feature a more advanced local dimming system for improved contrast in dark scenes.

What You Need to Know Before Buying

Before purchasing a 65" TV like the Hisense 65A6HX, consider the following:

  • Space and Placement: Ensure you have adequate space to accommodate the TV's dimensions and ensure proper viewing distance. Measure your space carefully before purchasing.
  • Connectivity: Check the number and type of ports (HDMI, USB) available to accommodate your devices (game consoles, streaming sticks, etc.).
  • Sound Quality: The built-in speakers might not provide the best audio experience, especially for movies or gaming; consider external speakers or a soundbar if sound quality is a priority.
  • Wall Mounting: If you plan to wall-mount the TV, verify the TV's VESA compatibility and ensure the wall can support its weight.

Extra Tips

  1. Read professional reviews from reputable sources to get a broader perspective on picture quality and overall performance.
  2. Check the warranty information provided by the manufacturer and retailer.
  3. Compare the specifications of the Hisense 65A6HX with similar models across different brands.
  4. Consider the operating system (Xumo in this case) and whether it's compatible with your preferred streaming services.
  5. Pay attention to the TV's refresh rate (Hz) for smoother motion in fast-paced content.
